Vik's Green Year
I am going green in 2012. This will be my record throughout out the year of choosing eco-friendly products and trying to reduce as much as possible the amount of waste I produce, of living life by minimizing not only how much I buy but minimizing and hopefully eliminating the purchase and use of products which have been made using any form of slave, child or forced labour and any news and information about being a more considerate and responsible inhabitant of Earth.
I also plan to use this space to plot my progress of my vegetable garden and outdoor green spaces.

Magnolia Soulgeana “San Jose” planted a few days ago. There are already a couple of buds, can’t wait to see it flower.
This is the current state of my backyard and what was once a sustaining vegetable garden. Having had the worst summer weather in years, I have had to put all plans on hold for clearing the weeds and starting it up again.
